CLEANING THE PRISON a procession

Jun 28, 2025, Old Prison Bogdanov kraj, Cetinje

The begining of the procession is marked by THE GAZE: every visitor stares deeply into the eyes of Primož Guna; durational performance.

In the VIEWING ROOM the visitors are watching a 1981 film Što vi predlažete? / What do You Propose?  by Nikola Nikša Jovičević that is retelling the story of
Bogdanov kraj prison.
Sister Mirjana and Artificial Angela are guiding the procession.

Installation THE F(E)ATHER (by Sister Mirjana in collaboration with Anđela Bulatović) is sort of a tableau vivant, dedicated to the work Father by Milija Pavičević that was many years ago installed in this very space during The Cetinje bienale. The projection of Sister Mirjana 's collage Milija With the Child onto AI Angela is accompanied with the audio of the text by Svetlana Racanović that analizes and memorizes Milija's instalation. Milija's father was imprisoned in this prison, as well as fathers of many other Cetinje people.
